The specialist care is responsible for specialized healthcare in the county. The administration is organized into several county operations based on different medical specialties. Our hospital locations are Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. The County Habilitation Service is aimed at individuals with permanent disabilities caused by congenital/acquired diseases and injuries to the central nervous system, developmental disabilities, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Through our interventions, we aim to reduce the difficulties that disabilities may cause in daily life, create conditions for a good life, and participation in society.

At the habilitation clinic in Örnsköldsvik, we are 23 employees, divided into two child teams, one youth team, and one adult team. You will primarily work with youth aged 15 to 24.

We are now looking for a social worker for the youth team at the Habilitation Clinic in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a 10-month full-time temporary position, with start date to be agreed upon.

As a social worker with us, you will work according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HsL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). We work from a multidisciplinary perspective where employees with medical, psychological, and social competence collaborate. We see great advantages in teamwork where occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, nurses, and doctors are included. Good collaboration between professional groups is essential for quality in the work with patients and their relatives/networks. Your main job responsibilities are:

• Psychosocial conversations: supportive conversations regarding the consequences of a disability and crisis situations at different stages of life.
• In your role, you will contribute from your holistic view in social matters, to support the disabled person towards a functioning adult life through information and counseling.
• You provide information and collaborate with authorities regarding work, employment, housing, and finances.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in social work
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Has a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you

• Have work experience as a healthcare social worker
• Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing
• Have experience working with children, youth, and adults with disabilities
• Have experience working with habilitation
